Regain your shoulder mobility with The Moballise Physiotherapy Clinic

Shoulder

Your shoulders are the most mobile joints in your body.

You have four shoulder joints on each side of your body. They work together to allow you to place your hands anywhere in the space around you. A good analogy for the structure of your shoulder joints is the front suspension of an off-roading car.

Imagine your arm as the wheel attached to the end of the suspension. Your collar bone & shoulder blade are connected to the main body and articulate in such a way that the wheel can move up and down on rough terrain.

Your shoulder movement only departs from this analogy such that your shoulders move forwards and backwards. This complex shoulder anatomy requires precise timing from your shoulder muscles. When this timing fails shoulder mobility dysfunction can be the result.
